GRILL BADGE mount from outmotoring + driving light covers (mock driving lights)

Hi guys, was just wondering if anyone else has thought of this idea? i actually posted here earlier but my post seems to have gone missing.

i was actually wondering if anyone has done this? or thought of this, and whether u guys think it will be doable.

i've got a mini cooper s '08 and wanted to get a set of driving lights, however, the mount, new gril and lights would be really quite expensive. and they are all necessary.

i was wondering if i took this grill badge mount from outmotoring:

http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...ge-holder.html

and somehow find a way to attach it to the driving light covers from my previous MINI (with driving lights)(i sold the driving lights w the car, did not occur to me at that point -.- )

would it be able to look similar to this?

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-here-268.html

(post by johnnydisco, thx mate)

in anyway, the mounts are not visible, andddd im not prepared to spend that amount of cash on pure aesthethics because in my country. its illegal to have those lights UNLESS they are covered anyway!

thoughts? thanks guys!

If your not going to have the driving lights I would say why have the covers on the car. but that is just my opinion.

Sure, it might look like that. If you already have the covers, you can try a temporary install with some zip-ties or the wire tie things that go around garbage bags or around electrical cords. Give it a shot and see if you like it!

It's not my thing, but then it's not my car.

I have to agree with this. I think the idea is rather silly. If you're within 10 feet of the car, someone will notice random covers attached to a grill. I'd put it in the same category as re-badging 3 series as M's (something we saw and laughed at quite a bit in Germany), or I guess since we're talking about MINIs, justas as JCWs, even though they clearly are not. I'd recommend either saving up to buy the bracket and lights ($250-500), or simply being happy with what you have.

Don't do it, it will look silly. If you really want driving lights, just save up for them.
