Sold the Jcw and now modding a 1M and waiting for a 2012 Boss Lauguna Seca Mustang to arrive.
The Mini was fun and made good power after dumping 15k+ into the build
but have to say I will never buy anything with a prince engine again.
Portos
Did you get the timing chain fixed?

I was hesitant to start a new trade on the r56 horsepower topic.
Found this tread, so I thought I'd continue from it.
I am from Singapore (our local forums do not talk must about mods) and I have a 2009 R56 MCS automatic transmission with the follow mods:
1) JCW exhaust manifold
2) FJCW cat back exhaust
3) Akraprovic downpipe
4) JCW turbo
5) NM CAI, cold and hot side tubes
6) Okada projects ignition coils
7) Forge BOV
8) Forge Intercooler
9) Aquamist HFS3 - 0.7mm jet @ 50/50 water/meth mix
10) NM OCC
11) I run the best petrol grade in Singapore, its the one better than 98 oct, we call it V power here.
I had just (3 hours ago) run a dyno tune with a local tuner and got 237.8 whp (stock was 177 whp). For the torque its showing as 347.4 Nm -35.4Kgm, not sure how this translates to wtq.
I was surprised at the numbers as I was expecting more at around 260 whp. Another R56 same year/make with almost the same mods as I (less the DP, Meth and occ) but had the Schrick cams and was doing 240 whp.
Does anyone here have almost the similar mods as I and if so, why whp are you looking at?
Or for the experienced folks on the forum, what whp range would you expect out of the mods i had listed?
I do not have any complains on the ride now though. Just curious if the tuner could have gotten more out of the mods especially on the water/meth and JCW turbo mod.

Once committed to either Alta or RMW, no-one else can access the tune --- they lock the program so it can't be tampered with. Remove and install, but no peeking.
Mine's still a work in progress --- adding the Aquamist HFS4, but having a LOT of grief finding good methanol. Once that's set up, its off to Alta for a dyno tune and a serious boost increase. My last dyno tune and others can be viewed at www.accessecu.com/dyno/ I don't have the experience to critique your dyno results without knowing about your boost settings, but it sounds like lots fun!

You numbers seem good...especially for an auto
I had a JCW turbo on my S and it was always around ~225whp, on 91 octane. Had an Aquamist also, but I was never tuned for it. I know it was capable of more, but the problem, like oldbrokenwind said is the 22psi limit. I'm guessing you can't get around the ~22psi boost limit...and from your numbers I'd bet you are around 20-22psi.
If you can run a couple more psi...you'd see around the ~260whp that you were expecting.

Thank you Oldbrokenwind and Thumper for your input.
I am running 19psi now. I rely on the boost gauge as I do not have the scan gauge. I think it could be slightly higher as I was afraid to keep more then an instance of my attention off the road now.
The dyno printout for the torque is 347.4nm. Is that the same as 347.4 wtrq? Looks too big to be correct.
Had more chance to drive the car today. It's quite the beast now (as compared before the tune) and at some point I was wondering if I overdid it on the mods. Probably get used to it in a couple of weeks and start looking for more again.... which I hope not. Getting expensive.
But so that I know what else could be done with OEM parts and without breaking the bank:
1) Cams?
2) Increase water/meth jet size to 0.8 or increase the meth to water ratio?
3) If i go to the Mini dealer and ask to pay for replacement but now fJCW pistons etc, do they fit?

1) I never got around to changing cams, so can't really comment
2) I played with all sorts of combo's, and ended up on a .8 jet and a mostly meth mixture...around 75/25 if I recall. If you get retuned on a .8 and 100% meth, you will see decent gains over what you have now.
3) If you are going to go through the trouble of changing pistons, don't bother with the fJCW ones....go aftermarket and get something stronger.
