Goodbye guys! (maybe a see you later?)

So I wasn't a huge contributor to this community but I was and am still deeply in love with it. I felt more at home around fellow Mini owners than I did with some close friends and family! I've driven a mini for about 4.5 years (04 r53 then '11 r56 S) and today I finally moved on.

Here are a couple pictures of Zooey (the old?)

And Elise (the new(used 2010 128i))

I'll still have nothing but love for every other Mini owner/driver and will probably still instinctively wave. But eventually I had to get something that helped me feel just a TINY TINY TINY bit more grown up. It's been fun, folks. There's nobody like the Mini community and there's absolutely nothing like the feeling you get when you get a Mini-wave to start your day. Until next time!

Funny, I went from a 335i TO a Mini. I guess I wanted to feel just a little less grown up. Congratulations on the Beemer. You'll love it too. Different feel from the MINI, less personality, but much more sophisticated in terms of appearance, drive, feel, fit & finish and I love the lines of the coupe. Is it a 328 or a 335?

congrats on the new car! I'm convinced if I had gotten my BMW with a manual transmission that I would still be driving it. Great cars.

Nice ride! Personally I don't ever want to grow up, but I'm sure you'll love the BMW.

I included the 128/135i, GTI and Volvo C30 in my list of candidates when I purchased my MCS back in January. I found the MINI fit my needs better and I am sticking with it for a while. I've had the "grown up" cars already, especially if you consider a minivan or conversion van "grown up" vehicles. My very first car was a new 1977 Honda Civic CVCC and my MINI reminds me so much of that car. Of course the MINI is much more refined and handles and drives much better, but the size thing is pretty similar. Back in the day my friends would actually pick it up and move it on me. No one's moved my MINI yet - guess my friends are more mature now. Contrary to what you hear, "size does matter" and small is good. Enjoy your new ride.
