Seat-sons Greetings Teaser!

My g/f gets the thanks for santas early arrival... what would i do with out her. I have wanted these for so long and didnt take the plunge wheni could have and in return i got quite the surprise!

Teaser of one done, gotta wait to install the passenger seat due to the incorrect bracket i was given

No srs lights due to airbag...thanks to the motoring alliance write up.

The feel/feedback is amazing! BEST mod after suspension to really "know" what is going on traction wise. No body/core movement during G loads lets you translate the cars feedback so much better. VERY Much Recommended!

2011 Sparco EVO II

More to come later

That looks awesome! This is something i've been wanting to do now for a while.

Are they comfortable enough for long hauls?

Nice, can't wait to see pics when the passenger side is done.

Just bought an Aquamist HFS3 and a downpipe, so the seats will have to wait until I can save up some more mod money again. I'm thinking this will be the next thing I do.

We are upside down because now i want a downpipe and aquamist. Did you have to wait for the aquamist? When i called to place an order they had a 3 month wait so i decided not to.

I had started a group buy for the HFS3 over on the RMW forums, so id did take a while to get the minimum buy-in list filled and then to get everyone's kit built and sent out. That may have been why the wait at one time was so long.

it also generated a lot of buzz about W/M injection so suddenly demand went way up.

Maybe you had checked when Jeff was completing the group buy orders? I'd be surprised if the wait was still that long, although he mentiioned he sometimes has to wait for parts from his suppliers so that could also be the problem.

It's definitely worth the wait though. It's a top notch kit.

Did you tune for meth or just add it as a "safe guard"?

I still haven't had it tuned for meth. I'm just using the caned AP tunes and tweaking the W/M settings here and there guided by the butt dyno.

I'm hoping to get a RMW tune one of these days, but I haven't seen Jan planning any road trips to my area.

If so I definitely plan to get a custom tune. COBB tuning here was supposed to begin custom tuning MINIs but I haven't heard much about it after they announced it so I'm not having any luck finding someone to do a tune.

have you done any readings on IAT's or are you spraying after the last sensor in the tract?

Nice seats Big, that GF is a keeper .

On a side note I'm interested in the HFS3 as well, if only for the safety margin, not too worried about tuning for it at the moment.

You will see a reduction in IAT, but how much will depend on what your ratio is as well as your jet size. It won't be a world of difference but it's something. I wanted it for safety reasons since I'm running higher boost. At least until I can get a meth tune...

Brey Krause R53 - 9273 (specifically for the EVO II) 9272 is for the regular EVO (narrower)

Just have to slot the holes of the rear part of the brackets about 1-2mm, Fronts line up perfectly. (tungsten dremel bit worked wonders).

Could probably do a seat in about 30min now

They look sweet but look like they would be annoying with the stock seat belts. Are they?

Those look really nice

I wonder how difficult it would be for back seat passengers to get in since the seats don't fold.

I thought that might be your next step.

I installed the Kappasphere harness bar recently:

http://www.kappasphere.com/mini/mini.../monkeybar.cfm

Nice addition and just waiting now to do the seats and then get harnesses.

Would really like to hear how this affects your head room. Maybe measure from the floor to the top of the seat base or from the seat bottom to the roof?
I need one more inch to be able to fit in a coupe.
