I love the way those flaps look. I'll be ordering a set for myself tonight. I think the red would've been amazing on your car Big....

That's the beauty of customizing.... What you think looks killer someone else thinks looks like "pigs testes." Lol ..... Beauty is in the eye if the beholder!!!

keep in mind their are lots of different types of mudflaps out there. OEM mudflaps are there for the sheer purpose of keeping dirt off the sides of your car. Rally Armor mudflaps are also there however to make the car look RALLY, so they are definitely wider and have the looks of real rally style mudflaps. If I wasn't obsessed with the way rally cars look, I would definitely go OEM. But hey, to each his own! Happy Holidays everyone!

2 bolts per flap to the fender well, sticky tape on the rears as well.

AND! The mini is already an aerodynamic disaster

Do you have pics of how they are installed? Curious how you mounted them.

I know this is an old thread (way old), but I am planning on driving my JCW through the winter.

I am looking for some decent, temporary flaps to keep the sides a bit nicer. I am unsure about OEM as they use press pins which I would need to replace twice a year.

Is there a mounting method where I am not taping, or drilling into the metal?

Is there an decent flap alternative besides OEM, Rally Armor, or Yosemite Sam?

Bump for any more info. I'm debating about putting some Rally Armor universals on or just putting my old "S" body kit back on over winter.

I ordered the universals. I probably won't mount until November. I think I am going to try the u-clip method to avoid putting holes in the fender lip. I am not sure how high off the ground I am going to mount them.
