In 2009 I purchased a hitch along with a bike carrier for my 2009 Cooper. For a number of reasons I never had the hitch mounted to the 2009. Since then I have replaced the 2009 with a 2011. There is a difference in the bumpers in that the 2011 now has a backup light in the bumper. I am sure there is no difference in the undercarraige but am not sure that the part that protrudes through the bumper would clear the light. I called the company that sold me the hitch originally but they have no listing for a 2011. I guess I could have the bumper cover removed and see if the thing fits. Any ideas?

 

It doesn't fit. MiniDoMore has a separate part # for the 2011+

 

Agree with ljmattox. You might as well try and sell the hitch you have and purchase the new MiniDoMore if you feel the need to tow or use a hitch mounted bike rack. I think if carrying the bike was the only need, I'd investigate roof racks that have bike carriers rather than the hitch mount. I'd hate to have to remove the bike to open the rear hatch.
