Why would they do that??

Can someone tell me why in the hell would they make an auto down window control on the key fob, yet I have to get in to wind the windows back up It's like they got bored with programming and just left it out. WTH?!? Is there any way to fix it?

US safety?? So it's safe that u can wind them down, but not be able to put them up?
I'm not in the U.S. btw. Car's straight out of Germany. Thanks for the info though.

But it's still programmed for US main land details.
It's very similar to the VW / Audi and BMW world; some things are deselected and pre-programmed from the factory.

My friends 2010 VW will roll the windows back up as well...

But more importantly +1 on the NCS Expert thread for info on this.

It's summer time, as you approach your hot car that's been sitting in the sun all day and you remotely drop your windows to cool it off, once in the car with the A/C running you roll them up. That was the intent.

If you have comfort access you can hold the button on the door handle and the windows will go up.

Just curious, because I see the situations where you'd want to roll them down remotely...hot days here in Texas I'll be using that a lot. However, what situations would you want to roll them up remotely?

+1 the metal key turned to the lock position will lock the doors, lights will flash and roll the windows up. Not super convenient but beats getting back int he car and putting the key in.
