2012 R56- Just Ordered!
I got extremely picky and couldn't find anything decent in So. Cal. Amazing how many dealers don't have a MT in stock!
Anyway, I'm new to the Mini family and just wanted to say Hi.
Onto the car:
Lightning Blue w/ black roof & Mirrors.
Sport Package w/ 17" black conical spokes.
Panoramic Sunroof
Anthracite Headliner
H-K Audio
BT & Ipod
Onto the upgrades:
I didn't opt for the $500 sport suspension because I figured I could put that money to better use in aftermarket parts.
Definately going with H-Sport sway bars.
Springs? (maybe H&R; used to have a Honda w/ these and the ride was bouncy!)
Intake?
Other minor performance upgrades?
Thanks for reading and I look forward to contributing where possible.

1.Nm and Swift make very good springs for the r56.
2.Keep the stock intake.
3.Akrapovic downpipe and exhaust.
4.Water/Meth injection,no need for a aftermarket intercooler upgrade and eliminates carbon build up in intake manifold and cylinderhead.

Just a thought.
Putting lowering springs on any car with stock shocks is a stupid idea. Lowering springs by thier very nature are stiffer. The stock shocks have a hard time controling the stock springs. (they are a crappy shock to begin with), trying to make them control a stiffer spring is asking for trouble. OP, as you have seen with the H&R's and your old Honda.
So the point is, if you are going to change the springs, GET BETTER SHOCKS! Koni yellow, or Blistein sports work well. (I've got Koni's and TSW springs with the HSport rear bar. It works well.) The key is to get springs and shocks that are matched.
Don't forget that a MINI is just a baby BMW which stands for Bring Money Withya...
