Another newbie question?

I have noticed that the car accelerates much faster when in Sport mode, is this because the car is using the higher rmp's? I have an automatic so if it were manual it may be different.
When in non-sport mode I am assuming the turbo is still kicking in but the car is not revving as high and therefore the speed is lessened?

Sport mode changes the throttle mapping so it is more aggressive. Its really noticeable with a manual. Can't speak to the automatic. Its possible that the sport button also changes shift points in the automatic. Don't know about that.

There is a search button for a reason. It is in the right corner of the forum please use it. Thank you that is all.

He's right though. The search button is your friend. This is forum rule #1.

I do use the search button

But sometimes if I am talking to people about a issue It is best to continue on with a thought with people who understand where I am coming from.

If you do not know what to search for it is difficult to do so.

Rule #3

Yes I am stepping out of line here because I am not a mod but, there is entirely too many threads started here about topics that have been discussed before and are actively being discussed. I am in the boat of people who would like to see a forward movement of what the MINI can do as far as performance and looks. It just seems when the same things being talked about over and over and over again we are just circling the drain. I understand you might not know what a turbo does and we can help you under stand it but, if you had gone to another section there is a great information section that was posted about what a turbo does and how the size effects how much pwer you can get.
see link: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...101-103-a.html
If you have other questions please use the search bar, look at a search engine, talk to other MINI owners at a local club meet, or if you want to mod your car and don't know what to get call one of the vendor's and talk to them since the MINI is all they work on everyday.

We are here to help, so do get me wrong in my rant just please understand what I am talking about.

Its cool meng. Name is Ryan. NAM has a lot of fail safes to protect you from serious flaming. There are forums out there that would have made you quit with cars because they would have burned you the minute you posted this. Try a Civic forum sometime. Evos are just as bad.

Was a member of the Civic Forum for a year, but did not have as many questions lol.

A Civic is a Civic even with the V-Tech

This car is just so much different than anything I have ever driven. I am 54 years old and feel like a kid in the candy store.
