I really feel just replacing the tensioner bolt is a bandaide fix. Reason is over the miles the tensioner has not been keeping the chain in check thus causing wear and tear on all the other parts.
My car was good up to 62K before I got the rattle and my oil has always been up to spec and never low.
Since mine has been fixed the car runs and sounds great, no codes, nothing, just pure fun again.
As above, hope just replacing the tensioner bolt works for you but I'd have my doubts over the long haul.
