Would lower springs void warranty?

Hi,
I got NM springs. I may get bearing issue or something since the rear pass side kinda got noisy.
Not sure they will deny if I take my car in with those springs.
Thanks!

I don't believe you should have a problem to be honest with you. My car is slightly modded and actually that's next on my list, but it wouldn't hurt to ask your service adviser. But then again, depends how close you two are.

For most things, no, but if you get a bad axle, cv-joint, strut, shock, top strut mount , or ball joint,
they may have a good case to say the lowering springs may have contributed and deny problems with those items.
Shouldn't cause bearing wear if you have stock offset wheels, unless you're bottoming
out the suspension more than with the original springs, but they could try to say so.

They will not void your entire warranty.

Basically what it states is that if you modify your springs and the headgasket blows they can not deny your warranty claim. But if you put those springs on and say the shock blows out then yes they can deny your warranty claim. Now it is also up to the individual dealership because a lot of MINI dealerships will work with you. Also I have dealerships tell me (3 to be exact) that if they install the part they will warranty the work and the part.

Unfortunately, some dealers can and do fight M-M Act claims. If the dealer wants to be a ***hole about it, they can make it a big hassle to get them to honor the warranty. We have at least one member on the BBS who had a dealer fight him for months on one claim.

I think (hope!!) that most dealers are cool with aftermarket parts. After all, that is just more "You-ification", which MINI definitely pushes.

If you're taking it in for a suspension issue, take the time to throw the stock springs back on. Worth the time to prevent potential hassles.
