New to the Mini world

Hi all,
just this week I purchased a 2008 Cooper S Hatch, british racing green 6 speed manual.. I have always and only been a BMW guy but this car is great..plus its pretty much a BMW anyway..This is my new daily driver and look forward to the good things I have heard about this forum.

I am very curious to know whether or not BMW shift ***** will fit on the minis? I would love to fit my short ZHP **** onto the mini....I have had that same **** on all my bmws so its hard to let go of..(sounds ridiculous)..

Can't answer your question about the ****, but coming from a string of previous BMW's agree that there is a lot of BMW in the MINI. Only thing I am missing from my previous 328ix is the electric/memory seats. Don't miss the higher car payment, though.

Congrats and great color! I'm sure you'll enjoy the car. It definitely has the BMW build quality, but with more character than most of their offerings right now. Plenty of shift **** options out there, I'm sure you'll find one you like if the JCW Alcantara **** doesn't already fit the bill.

Check with ra2fanatic, as he's mounted an BMW F30 shift **** on his R56.

Thanks very much ! I can absolutely feel the BMW in this car.. But like you said, its an amazing car with a much cheaper tag price and monthly payment.. For almost a year I was driving a 1995 325is coupe but just sold that to get the CS..

Been enjoying it very much so, although I have to deal with the certain people who say "a mini...really..?" But they have no idea..and have no educated comments to make on the car.. i love it!
