What are some short shift options?
I recently posted about looking for an upgraded exhaust and now i'm interested in any options for reducing the throw on the shifter.. Its not for racing purposes but I feel like it could use something a bit tighter..
Any popular upgrades without exceeding the hundreds of dollars threshold?
Thanks!

I've been using a Helix short throw shifter for about 2 years with no problems. Installation will require you to get under the car and drop the exhaust. Lots of nuts and bolts but not too difficult.

I've used every brand of short shifter and when I put one in my Clubman I went with the Craven SS kit. I love being able to adjust it depending on where I'm driving as I can make it shorter or longer. Longer is better when I get stuck in traffic. Also I think it has a crisper feel than just putting the adapter on the bottom. And on top of it all I installed the shift well cover from Craven, which I have grown to love, at first I just did it to do it, but like it so much better than the boot now.
I also put on a Whalen shift machine ****, which I would do on any MINI.
If you do go with the adapter I really prefer the NM adapter.
