Weird noise above 110

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajQ_...e_gdata_player

So its a 2007 mcs with 30k miles on it. Literally just bought it a couple weeks ago. When I test drove it and took it that fast it didn't make the noise. Literally a week later it makes it every time I'm above 110. It doesn't matter what gear I'm in, or if the clutch is in. Any idea what it could be?

My guess would be in the wheel bearing/axle assembly.

I hope not where I might have to be driving.

Was on private property. Grandparents have a couple hundred acres in Oregon with a couple miles of paved smooth road. Yay private track. Any other criticism?

When my '07 MCS was new I had the exact same problem. Believe it or not it was the windscreen. The dealership resealed the windscreen and never heard the whistling/screaming sound again...

I was about to say, when I had my windshield replaced with some China-man glass my windshield seals made the same noise. Only use OEM glass!

NO. This site has way too many off topic responses.

Approaching that speed, OP, my wipers have made some weird shuddering and squealing noises as the wind tries to pull them away from the glass. I was unable to watch your video, so don't know what your problem sounds like.

I wish I had access to a private track though!

Its criticism when you apply your assumptions to other people. I appreciate you trying to help me know the rules because I'm new, but I have thoroughly read them. Your conclusion should have been to help a fellow mini owner, instead of trying to be bigger than them.

Relax guys. Let's all try to use some positive intent here. We're all just looking out for each other as to not break the rules & guidelines as well as looking out for the safety of fellow Motorers and drivers. Let's cool it down a bit, not point fingers and get back on topic. May I remind you all of this guide line as well:

RESPECT

When posting, both members and vendors must ALWAYS be respectful of fellow members and vendors. Personal attacks, trolling/baiting, deliberate antagonizing, and flaming will not be tolerated. If you feel you are being attacked, report the post or private message rather than replying or flaming back. However, do not use the report bad post feature to "cry wolf" when you are in fact the instigator of the demise of a discussion. Doing so will result in an infraction or strike.
Thanks everyone!

I apologize if it seemed I was being disrespectful. It was not my intent. I just did not appreciate the way he was talking to me. I shall drop it .

Had a windshield replaced and got the same noise at 70 mph. But only if I was in a side wind from the drivers side. You wouldn't think it would make that much of a difference, but it did.
Did you ever notice that Interstates rarely deviate far from East/West or North/South? So if you are headed East on I-10, with a northerner blowing in, and you just developed the above mentioned problem....you may need to replace your speakers on the return trip.
Three people in the car.
It got ugly.

tape around the edges of the window with blue painters tape. That should tell you if it is the windshield seal.

I have had the same experience at high speed, and was quite startled in the first case where it occurred.

It is air.

Cheers,

Charlie
