No fuel filter on my Mini Cooper

I have an R56 cooper and I decided to change the fuel filter. After removing the back bottom seat and the black metallic cover ,I had a surprise!!!...The car had no fuel filter!! At the right hand side the fuel pump was at its ordinary place but at the left hand side the fuel filter could not be found…!To be specific, at the place the fuel filter are ordinary placed I could only see an iron (or aluminium) plate that was covering the area…Any ideas???

The fuel filter is apart of the right-side fuel tank sensor assembly submerged in the fuel tank.
There's no service / replacement specified as its an integrated component.

Why are you needing to change the filter?

Which motor.....
Will help folk sort through this mystery.
The n14 or n18?
Is the displacement the same as northamerica? I know for a fact mini sold a smaller motor in greece than was avalable anywhere else in the world on the gen1....so maybe Greece destined mini's are slightly different as on gen1 cars....
