2011 Mini Cooper Tire changing kit
I purchased a 2011 Mini Cooper(Base) and the tire changing kit was not in the car. The dealer says he will get me one. It is not a Mini dealer, but a small dealer who specializes in Volvos. I have been dealing with him for many years and trust him with Volvo stuff, but Minis are a different animal. His plan is to get one from another Mini.
My question, Is the spare tire changing kit for a Base model the same as an S model? I ask because the S model seems way more popular than the Base Model and he may try and get one from an S thinking they are the same.
I do have a space saver spare and not the run flat tires.
Any help would be appreciated.

The 2011 S would have run-flat tires. So there would be no tire-changing kit. At least, if it's like the 2012 models, that is the case.
In 2012, I believe only the 15s were available with non-run-flat tires. That's what I have. You can check my gallery for pics of how the tire is mounted under the car and what I did to take it off the car and put it back on.

On the first attempt, the bottom of the jack moved outwards relative to the car, so the top of it moved inwards toward the car. To the point where the top parts of it were gouging the plastic rocker cover.
On two subsequent attempts, the bottom pad would not stay in place and slid along the ground, again putting more gouges in the rocker cover.
The folks at Stevens Creek said that "it wasn't a defect", but they replaced the rocker cover out of good-will for me.

Yikes!
To think I rotated my tires front to back, one side at a time, using the stock jack on the front block & a Subaru jack on the back. This while cleaning the one wheel out.
I also wondered if my chock was just missing, looks like it didn't come with one (S w/ run flats).
The car was stable enough, no slips, no rocking etc. maybe I just got lucky
