Am i the only one with a real blow off valve?

i put my greddy type rz on the hot side of the intercooler only blows off after 4k but just wanting to know if i hurt the performance more then helped... will post pics and instalation guide if anyone asks

No you are not the only one who has tried. The guys that learned the hard way got rid of those vent to atmosphere BOVs. They have absolutely no benefit for the N14/N18 engines.

CountryBoyShane is spot on; the N14 / N18 turbocharged engines are designed as a closed-loop system, where unused boost is rerouted back into the intake.
Venting to atmosphere will have effects on fuel trim and typically produce a Check Engine Light (CEL).

Okay, and yeah don't see to many modded minis around here... Where is the meet going to be id be down to go!

Yeah I had the Helix then the HKS SSQV4 and eventually got over my need for BOV noises (kind of) and settled with the Forge Diverter Valve. Way too quiet for my taste but it's turning me on to the sleeper route which I suppose is a good thing. I'm still in the ending phases of my denial stage that my MINI is not a turbo rally beast

Do you mean you are using the forge spacer? If so have you had any problems with that?
