NEWB here!!!!

So I just picked up my 2013 Cooper S 2 weeks ago to the day. I ordered a 2013 MCS, Spice Orange, JCW package, Black Leather, and all the other packages they offer. I've been wanting a mini since 2009 when I decided to buy a BMW 135i instead. So now I finally have a mini and its all that I expected and some. Even though I'm still in the break in period (330 miles) it's really a fun car. 2 Saturdays ago I picked my car up from Hassle Mini in Long Island NY and boy was that an adventure on its own I thought I was never gonna leave the dealer. I spent 7 1/2 hours there cause there was a nick in the rear roof spoiler. They were gonna try and swapping a goo spoiler off another mini but it took them 5 hours to figure out that they did have the weather stripping to replace the one they would have to pull off, so but instead they took a few hundred off the car. When I got home I was to tired to drive the car. So Sunday I woke up bright and early and spent the entire day driving!!!! Monday comes and I take the car to the body shop to have all the chrome removed. I decided to paint the HL rings, TL rings, front grill, rear diffuser, side scuttles, and gas door black, I also decided to paint the door handles Spice Orange. I left the car thinking it would only be a few days but then i came to realize they would have the car for a week and a half, I just picked it up this past Thursday. It came out amazing the work was immaculate. It was done by a body shop in Yonkers NY called Mastroddi Auto Body, i have and always will have my cars restored by them, when you get your car back you have no choice but to think your car has just came from the factory all over again. Now 2 weeks have gone by and I've accumulated about $800 in parts and accessories and finally tomorrow is the day I will get to install them. I'm gonna post some pics of all the work once its all together, for now here's a little shot I got from when i took delivery. ENJOY!!!!

This statement caught my eye. I'm an ex sportbike rider / racer and I used to religiously go for a bike ride every week. The Mini is the only car I have had that I go for a drive just for the joy of driving.

Welcome aboard and have fun with your mini

Wow, they did a really good job. I'm really liking the black paint replacing the chrome trim all around the bottom of the windows.

The chrome around the bottom of the windows is actually vinyl wrapped.

Wow, nice!

Did you spray the covers in the engine or did they come like that from the factory?
