R56 throttle response bulletin

throttle response bulletin
I remember a while ago there was a bulletin to do a software update on JCWs to improve the throttle response and it was covered under warranty, and that the same software update would work on regular R56s but would not be covered under warranty. Does anyone know what that bulletin was or what the software update version was? I've searched but can't find it and was hoping to have this work done while my R56 is getting the timing chain replaced.
Thanks

I don't think there was ever a recall for either of those issues. However, I know they did address the torque steer with a software update.
I just updated my 08 Cooper to v47 a couple of months ago, and it really changed the power steering feel.
Also, someone here reported much less throttle lag (with the automatic) after a software update. Now that I have been running it daily now for about month, I can say the throttle lag is better but not fixed. And I am pretty sure it is because the tranny is staying in second gear at "nearly" stopped conditions.
So for updates, the dealer (I did myself with a Mongoose J2534 cable and a $30 subscription to BMW's minitechinfo.com) can update the entire car to the latest version (not sure if they are still v47 or have moved up from there) using ISTA/P. It is a many hour process that doesn't always complete the first time around (took me about 20 hours). The dealer can only install the latest version they have (usually updated every few months).
