R56 Fan/Blower overrun

Fan/Blower overrun
Hello All,
First post and a quick question if I may? (I haven't even got my car yet!)
On my test drive the other day, after pulling up and switching off, I could hear a fan running under the bonnet somewhere. I read somewhere about the small water pump running to cool the turbo, is it likely that's what it was? I confess i thought it sounded like a fan rather than a pump. I don't get the car until tomorrow so I can't check anything myself yet.
Thoughts from anyone? Should I be worried? I'm have a 2007 r56 MCS, UK spec coming.
Thanks in advance
David

That's the engine fan running, they all do that. By design they run hot 220-230 F (105-110C) so need to cool once they've stopped.
The cars do have an aux pump for the turbo, it was recalled on several years, it had a habit of bursting into flames (like 6 cases). I can't say I've ever heard the aux pump running, but you should check if it was subject to the recall and if the recall was done.

Legend thanks! My old R5 GTT used to have a perc fan that blew on the carb for 20mins. It's the first MK2 I've driven. I was preoccupied by the heat from the seized calliper and the dealer telling me it would be ok to drive and probably "loosen up" so I didn't get the lid open to check what it was. I'm sure not all used car dealers and knobbers but I've yet to find one that wasn't
Thanks for the info, I'll post some pics when I finally get my mitts on it.
