Does anyone have current lease rates on 2012 Cooper Hardtop?
Hello everyone.
My wife did the drive event at our local Mini dealer and ordered a 2013 Chili Red Cooper Hardtop. Now that the car has arrived I am suspecting shenanigans with the local dealer on lease pricing.
The car, as ordered has an MSRP of $25,900. Mini is advertising a $0 to drive special of $249 a month on a 3 year 30,000 mile lease for a Mini with an MSRP of $21,500..
However, my wife is being quoted a price of $330 per month for her car, which only has a $4400 higher capital cost than the one Mini is advertising.
Is there any reason that the lease special would not be available on a car that has a few more options?
My salesperson claimed that it's a special promotion only for cars on the lot and it would not apply... this seems a little suspect to me.
Also, if anyone has the information on what the current money factor is for a top tier credit lease, that would be useful information for me in determining if the dealership is over-charging us on the Mini Finance interest rate. I already know that they are marking up the lease acquisition fee from $725 to $925, which is kind of shady to begin with.
Thanks!
