Spark Plug Change Tip
Someone may have already covered this and I have seen many ways to skin this cat but I ran into the problem of trying to re-install spark plugs and having the ratchet extension come off the socket. I tried to tape them together with electrical tape as some have suggested but the rubber gripper was just hoding on too tight. I tried removing the little rubber gripper and using fuel hose to do the initial tightening but you wind up having to take it out and out it in too often and it is a pain to do even once with this tiny custom socket you have to use. My final, and I think effective solution was to cut off the tops of all the little rubber grippers with an X-acto knife. I just kept cutting until the spark plug stayed in snugly (i.e. could not be shaken out) but didn't require excessive force to remove. Sorry the image is a little blurry.

The easiest thing to do is to lower the spark plugs down with a magnet like this:
If you don't have one of these it's one of the "must have tools" in my opinion. It will save your 8ss many times. If the magnet is good enough you can even spin the magnet with your hand and start threading in the spark plug.
You only need to tighten it down to 17 ft-lbs since the cylinder head is made of aluminum.
