time to pour coolant

i got 07 r56 mini cooper non-s model hits 76k now. Currently i noticed that coolant level is kinda low. it's below the minimum. one of my technition poured coolant for me about 4-5 months ago and I wondered that it's dissapeared that fast?
I bought the coolant (picture below) from the dealership and they poured it for me and noticed that they mixed up water and coolant.
Do I need to mix them up? 50/50?
I haven't ever tried to pour coolant so I don't know when to pour it.
please let me know the instruction.
thanks

Yes, you need to mix it. That is a pure coolant (same one used in BMW's... I had a 3-series for years before my MINI)... it's concentrated so you need to mix it with 50% distilled water. Don't use tap water.

That being said, at 76K it wouldn't be uncalled for to do a full coolant flush and refill with all new coolant. It's rather easy to do.

Also, if you think it's getting low pretty quick I'd check for a leak somewhere. If these cars are anything like BMW's (Mine is a '13 with 2.5k miles so haven't looked into all this yet)... they are known to have water pump and/or thermostat issues that could be causing a leak. Or you could simply have a leak in a hose somewhere.

Good luck!

Not sure WHICH colant newer mini's are shipping with.....the old bmw bottle (white) was a 36 month fluid, the new one, in the silver one pictured is SUPPOSEDLY lifetime (unless an aluminum component is replaced according to the bottle)....but supposedly compatible with the older stuff...same color still....
Just mix the coolant you buoght 50% with distilled water, and fill the cars tank to the fill line...then watch it....sounds like you have a minor leak developing.

Last time my mechanic poured coolant itself without water and now its still remained. Is is okay mixing up with previous coolant?

You need to have a leak check done. We just went through this. 3mo ago saw resivoir was low so added coolant. A month later low again. A month later I start seeing coolant (small puddle, about 3" in diameter) on the garage. At first I thought it was just ac condensation. Turned out to be coolant. Soaked it up in a white paper towel and it was blue.

75k miles I expect you may have a leak that hasn't gotten bad yet.

Well your mechanic most likely already had a bottle that was a 50/50 mix. If you took it to the dealer and they just topped you off, that bottle they have laying around is a 50/50 mix. If you use an independent mechanic and he poured straight coolant in without it being a 50/50 mix I'd flush your system and do a 50/50 mix. Not good to use pure coolant.

A common fault is a cracked 'stat housing on LH end of the engine (looking from the front). The thing looks like something from a heart transplant!!
