Throttle Delay

Been driving my car for about 2 weeks now and the throttle delay is really making it hard, combined with the friction point being in the last inch of the clutch, to get a decent start. Sport Mode doesnt make a bit of difference for starts. Either I look (and feel) like a clown, riding the clutch for what feels like hours, or I stall it, or I nearly stall it because of the delay. Is there any sort of fix for the delay? Been driving standard cars since I could drive. I thought it might be "just me" at first, but it hasnt gotten better.

I should mention its a NON S car
The motor isnt studdering, or trying to rev, its just not doing anything. It just goes from nothing, to wherever my impatient right foot has ended up. Usually resulting in quite a jolt.

Mine is a Non S as well. 2009 with 40k on it. I just seafoamed mine and it fixed a lot of hesitation issues and picked up quite a bit in the bottom
