actually sounds like a pretty good deal especially with almost $2K off the sticker price and usually the extended warranty is that price they quoted you for.

Good luck!

Maintenance warranty is pointless on those cars! I'd advise you to get the actual warranty. You can do everything yourself or get an independent mechanic to do those for much less than 2 grand.

The maintenance warranty covers oil/fluid changes brakes, wipers... really not worth the cost. Especially as you'll still be having to pay for 50% of your oil changes since the dealer will only change it once every 14k mi and I know you aren't going to go more than 7k without a change right?

I would take that money and put it towards the real warranty that covers your car when things start breaking after 50k mi.

Or take the money and get some actual leather seats. I had a loaner with the leatherette and they sucked. They were super cold when it was cold out and scorching hot when in any sort of sun. They do not breathe at all so even on a 70 degree day my back was sweaty... gross. I have the carbon punch leather but I would say spend the little bit extra and go for the lounge leather. Those are very comfy, look great, and breathe excellently. Or you can just get the cloth option if you don't want to spend more.

Other than that, the price you were quoted sounds pretty good to me. Does that include taxes and random fees?

Maint covers clutch and fly wheel, that's pretty good right there. Also warranty has gone up in price the dealer cost on warranty as of feb 1 is closer to 2800 now.

Are they throwing maint in for the 27k price or is it the 27k plus the 1795 for maint?

I bought my Mini used and the previous owner destroyed the clutch and flywheel unbeknownst to me. When I brought it back to the dealership they stated that the Maintenance Warranty wouldn't cover the repairs.

Is this maintenance the 3-year / 36,000 mile deal or is this to extend the maintenance for an extra 3 years (6 years total). I thought mini maintenance for the first three years was standard for all new cars.

No it is not. Do the work yourself and save a lot of money. It will cost you more on the warranty then it will if you do it yourself.

Yeah ditto braminator. Save on the extended warranty. They'll try to sell you the extension closer to the end of your initial warranty and you can buy then if you think the service they provided is worth it.

The $1795 is for the 7yr 100,000 mile extended maint. Because it covers the clutch and flywheel that makes it good insurance for the price as there have been issues with these items and early failure in the past. Mini says the issues are resolved but I did peace of mind and went with it on my second mini as well.

The extended warranty is priced at around 2800 dealer cost after the price bump in Feb, this would cover non- wear and tear items like engine and other parts such parts, again the clutch and fly wheel are not in this but instead in extended maint, yes done on purpose they cover their bets like everyone else.

Oh yeah, that 27k price before the maint is a great deal, sounds like employee pricing. The only way you could do better is wait for the next sales event in April, then you might get another $750 incentive and a little better finc.

I don't think that's a "deal". That's the factory warranty and maintenance plan that every single new MINI gets at no charge.

My question is, does it state anywhere in either warranty that the clutch and flywheel would be covered?

It is a wearable item and most dealers will do it. We have read on here of some that don't do it so easily but I know mine does it when it it legitimate.

yetti, i have heard that too, but have had multiple SA's at multiple dealerships, all in the DFW area, that this is MINI standard.

I know there are some stipulations, like before replacement it has to be at the replaceable wear level.
