Rub noise backing up

07 MCS manual. For the past few days when I back out of the garage it makes what sounds like a metal on metal high pitched squeak. It's continuous and I think it continues after I disengage the clutch. No noise going forward, and if I stop and back up again nothing. Just first thing in morning. I only back up about 15 yards so I can't tell how long it lasts. Had the front brakes done last year. Ideas?

Hand brake sticking, maybe? Can you tell where it's coming from?

i bet it is the brakes ... mine does it to, but only in reverse and only until i apply the brakes

try this ... back into your garage so you pull out forward ... stop by applying the brakes then back up

if i do that, no noise backing up

Is your handbrake engaged while parked? Try leaving it off one night to see if it continues.

Has it been wet weather? sometimes I get noise if it has been wet and the disc plate developes a bit of rust.

I left the handbrake off in the garage, and this morning it squeaked backing up. I think it's the brakes, maybe fronts. I'll back in tonight and go out forward tomorrow and see. I'm due for an oil change/rotation locally (not dealer) I could have the dude who did the brakes take a look too. Thanks!
