Mini cooper D makeover

Bought my cooper D due to long commuting and an attempt to save some gas(diesel) money

I love the car but would like the looks of a JCW, therefore some modifications where to be planned.

Wanted : Jcw front, JCW skirts , AND JCW rear.
Got : Jcw front, jcw skirts and a non aero jcw rear.

Also got my hands on a brand new cooper s exhaust, didnt do much to the performance but a lot more for the looks.

Bought some clear side repeaters as well, got rid of the eggs!

Being a young member here am I the only one who would love to see this thing with big injectors and roll coal? I laugh every time I see some kid with a Volkswagen TDI shooting soot out the exhaust like its some huge truck

Car came out great so far. Very nice. Would love to have a diesel MINI. The S rear with center exhaust changes everything. Have you thought about using the LCI rear bumper insert with updated rear lights (a little longer)?

Thanks!
I Do have, but the bumper I got now was a bargain.
So I'll just try to buy the same lights koopa has and I'll get my reverselights back, although the LCI bumper is really nice !

I thought the LCI black plastic insert and lights could be put into the pre-LCI bumper. Maybe I'm wrong, someone else had told me it was possible.

But anyway yeah getting the reverse lights is a great idea. They look more modern and really give you more backup visibility... can't see a damn thing when backing up normally.

The part numbers:

Looks much better ! May I suggest you replace that "spoiler" with a JCW or an "S" spoiler to finish off the sporty appearance ?

Thank you for the part numbers !
I'll have to order it tomorrow, I'm starting to get tired of the error code that fog and reverselights are out!

I'm also about to order the reverse sensors, but from a store similar to your Walmart for 40 bucks. only for the looks tough, won't trust it to work 100 % ; )

About the spoiler , have been looking for an S ... Haven't found a bargain yet!

OP it looks really Awesome I think.

You know I did not even know there was a Cooper D.

Just goes to show you one cannot be aware of everything and I always have been a car guy.

I may be going out on a limb here but I am taking it the SD is a (Supercharged Diesel) Mini.

If that is correct I wonder how that bad boy performs as it should have Tons-of-Torque.

no those are all euro mini's. the sd stands for mini cooper s d as in the s model diesel. then there is the cooper d which would be like our base cooper in america but with a diesel and then the one d is the euro base diesel. its a step down from the american cooper. they have four models in europe. the one, cooper , cooper s and cooper s jcw. and then they have diesel versions of those except the jcw

jordan.burks,

Thanks for the clarification on the Models in Europe.

The Mini diesel I bet is a fun ride.
Would not surprise me if one day it shows-up here in the USA.
There are more diesels now being produced for the USA so I can see that the Mini might just one day be one of them.

Actually 5 models:

Mini First
Mini One
Mini Cooper
Mini Cooper S
Mini JCW

All are available as diesel or petrol other than the First and JCW.
