Help! I need a new door

The unthinkable happened yesterday I hit a metal guard rail that damaged my passenger door putting a nasty dent and cutting through the door skin while I was parking in reverse.

I've been taking good care of my 08 Cooper S, with only 1 more month to go to on payments.

Not sure what to do now, I guess I need a new door skin + paint job, but I'm scared that the new paint wont match the rest of the car.

I guess I need to find a new door or door skin, but I'm not sure where to start. ebay has a few but they described the as 02-08 model.
I thought 02-06 would be different than 07 and up, is this correct?
Would a 2006 door fit a 2008 MINI? I don't think so.

If anyone has dealt with something similar, I would really appreciate some advice on how to get this resolved correctly. I'm planning to keep my MINI for as long as possible, don't want to do a bad repair job.

Thanks in advance!

My advise it to just find another car with the same color and swap the door.

This is far cheaper, matches better, and retains the OEM quality of materials. It's also shocking easy to do in a driveway with basic hand tools.

Check out www.car-part.com for a used listing of parts from around the US.

penskeparts.com lists a door at $458. Here is the part number. 41002755935. Change the last digit to "6" for the other door. Not sure which is passenger.

Look around you may find it cheaper.

Thanks guys! I'm looking right now, finding the same model and color to swap doors would be awesome, no paint job headache. I'll check both places,

Thanks again! I'll report back..

We have the door here. The part number for the R56 MINI Cooper 2007+. Looks like you got damage on the "passenger side" right.

That is why you have insurance. Find a good bodyshop, file a claim, and wash your hands with it.

It would be great if I can find the same color car and swap doors, I'll try but if I don't I'll definitely go with this.

Is this the same as the original door? (feel, weight, etc).

Thanks!
