Is the BMW X1 Navi comparable and as good as our R56's Navi ?
The answer to this question is intended to be just from those individuals who have 1st hand knowledge of or experience with with the BMW X1 and the Mini R56's Navi.
Haven't been able to hunt down a dealer that a) has one in stock w/Navi that b) I'm allowed to play around in (i.e., not a customer's car), to be able to answer this question myself. So hoping there's someone out there that knows...
Maybe I'm making a mistake even drawing a comparison, based on the parent ownership relation between Mini and BMW. But if comparison is possible...
As the X1's Navi is one or two generations old, I'm wondering if it's navigation is comparable with -- or is a step up or down from -- what we're used to in our R56s (for those that have it). I like our Navi. But I keep reading about complaints regarding BMW's E90 Navi, and as the basis for the X1, the X1's Navi.
So please share your thoughts if you have 1st hand experience with both.
Thanx very much!

I don't know if Tele Atlas is supplying E90 Navi, but if it is, you are better off using Google maps and Navigation.
It will also run you about $2K cheaper

Yes, TeleAtlas is the current map supplier for BMW (including MINI). The previous supplier Navteq wasn't any better.
