R56 R56 Thermostat Housing replacement covered under emisions warranty

BS on the electronics excuse to weasel their way out of a legit warranty covered and stated in the warranty booklet. Point to them the warranty booklet. No where does it states that the electronics has to fail. And if they still say that BS, try another dealer or call MINI USA.
Getting the thermostat work done today (only 3+ weeks down waiting for the part) at an independent mechanic due to dealer charges were 30% higher.

Our R60 threw a code for thermostat. Used Mini roadside assistance to have it towed to dealer. They said it would be 3 to 6 weeks to get the part in. Drove a 2016 Clubman for a week and then the dealer rented us a car. Today is 4 weeks it has been at the dealer. Checked in with SA today and he said we are number 15 on the list and they are getting 5 thermostats in each week so we are probably 2 to 3 weeks from getting our Mini back. Wouldn't be so bad, but we bought it 3,000 miles ago.

My 2012 R56 MCS @ 53k miles just threw a fault code yesterday night. There hasn't been any issues with leakage nor temperature rising above normal temp.
I just called my local dealership to check if the thermostat was covered under emissions warranty, and SA had informed me that his system mentions this only up to 2011 models. SA also advised that there had been a new iteration of the thermostat housing since the car has been manufactured and will be around $700-750 for housing replacement.
However a few minutes later after getting off the phone, the SA called me back saying that after checking with his manager, later models were also qualified to be repaired under the emissions warranty. He told me that the thermostat housing is currently under back order and will have to schedule me in for next week.
Fingers crossed that they'll take care of me :D
