R56 ra2fanatic's R56S build
#504
Let us know if you want a set, we anticipate 2-3 sets of these before the end of the month.

We run the same Brisk plugs ra2fanatic runs which are the QR12LS Silvers. But NGK is also a great brand for having colder spark as well. All preference at the end of the day.

It's not that hard to go to IP's website and figure out what they do. Consistent spark compared to stock.
"The IP Coils are the ignition coil with a high power amplifier built in to it. The IP Coils produce 4 times more spark energy than stock coils and also generate an ultra fast multi spark discharge of 10 sparks up to highest RPM. The spark amperage is increased 100%, allowing the spark to reach many more molecules and therefore accelerate the ignition and combustion process. This is extremely important in forced induction applications but also improves the performance of normally aspirated engines."

Only 2 companies I can think of that really perk my interest, SSR and CCW (again, I know). If I went with CCW this time, they won't be Classics though!

IP's are good! I feel like it really has made a difference in the way the MINI drives now. Butt dyno does feel the difference so I'm happy I finally got them.
No new progress to say the least. You should come by Ivan's tomorrow. BT will have the MINI and try to lower it a bit more, too high. I may have to sell these springs and get some 1" lower springs than what I have now.
Come by Ivan's tomorrow and take the MINI out for a spin, BT will hand you the keys

Yeah....I need to dremel the inside of the pipe some more because it doesn't go in all the way even after tightening. I'll work on that a bit more tomorrow.

Speaking of wheel spin have you thought about a more heavy duty clutch to handle all of that extra power? I can't wait to see some dyno results.

I have/haven't. I don't want to mess with the driving characteristics I have with the stock clutch so I'm on the fence of whether to go with something "heavy duty" and ruin the feel.
But I also am running a very linear map so it's not like I'm boosting hard immediately off the line. So I'm not stressing the clutch.

If you're not doing a heavy duty clutch I'd def put some Royal Purple synchromax in for your transmission fluid. It will help put down some of the power that the stock clutch/flywheel loses. I use it in my JCW and love it. Unless you already use it in which case, carry on.
