Also must add, drove the MINI all over the place today and it is FAST....

I get up to speed so much quicker it's ridiculous. I let my buddy drive and it had him smiling from ear to ear.

Dyno will probably be at the end of the month.

Do you have a way to measure your boost?

Nope! Waiting on my AiM dash....I'm not gonna waste the time buying a boost gauge just for my boost reading right now when the AiM dash will tell me that info and more.

The waiting for it sucks though. Supposedly soon, but that has been said for a while now though. I'll probably give it 'til the end of next week. If it doesn't ship, then I'll move onto the P3car's gauge and another set of wheels or something.

Now with all that monstrous power you have you could easily wheel spin any 18" inch wheels, perhaps just a bit wider if there's room.

And I'm curious about the fitment of the CAE shifter? How much cutting of the interior, was necessary in order to mount the unit? Did you have to move the Sport and ABS buttons? I'm really curious... I just recently ordered the shifter from Adam @ Hard Motorsports. It was one of those. "I just got to have this" moments! Any Pics…. Oh BTW… You Mini is F/N Stunning!!!

Fitment? It's a race shifter, it is pretty darn spot-on. Adam is great

A notch was made on the front compartment tray too so it would fit inside. I wrapped it with alcantara afterwards.

This was the end result as seen in the other shot.

Car ****. Pure car ****! Thanks for being so diligent in your thread. I've actually bought a couple of the items you have not realizing you had them. That made me smile immensely!

Can't wait to see your numbers.

Well! Gave up on the AiM gauge. Moving on! My patience grew thin as the delays mounted on, so decided to spend my pennies elsewhere!

Put my order in for new wheels!!! Now the next bit of waiting continues...4-6wks.

Hey! Where's that Dyno? That sucks about the AiM gauge So onto the P3Car "vent" gauge then? 4-6wks for wheels, I'll be very interested to see those...

The 3rd CCW I've made, this time it wasn't Classics! I went with D110's without the inner cut. Much cleaner and I really HOPE that it looks just as clean as it did in my photochop I did on the MINI.

Steering wheel...yes...slowly in the works to try and get a flat bottom steering wheel that's thicker than stock. I'll get to it eventually. lol. Must...stop...spending...

Thought about it. But I am kinda bummed that it is not as "clean" as the other vented P3Car gauges. I'll look into other alternatives.

I love my RE-30's, but looks like no one wants to bite on some nice forged wheels, so they'll be left to track duties and CCW's will be my daily wheels around town to get the looks

Keep spending while the money allows. At some point this chapter of your life will be supplanted by a different one, and different priorities will come up.

That is definately why I enjoy tracking your build. I'm out of mod money (mad money is only one letter different?), and appreciate what you've done.

Have fun,
Mike

Thanks Mike, but I hope the balance between the next chapter and the current work each other out that after this project, the next will be just as fun and epic

What? Who you trying to make you carbon wheels?

Even if I had the money for them, I wouldn't be able to justify them on the MINI knowing I may or may not curb them down the line.

So at least I'd have the option of repairing them compared to curbing carbon wheels which would be a sore sight.

Hey George I haven't. I discovered an oil leak last week coming from the oil cooler. Originally thought it was AN fitting that wasn't tightened, but having drained the engine 3 F'IN TIMES, it definitely is not the fitting, but the oil cooler itself as I have discovered the persistent leak having driven to work this morning.

Been in contact with Sneed, so they'll get me out a new one and I can return this defective unit. They say it's rare that it would ever leak, and I believe them, but it's scary to realize that I put ~2k miles and just found out last week about it. I never noticed since there were no signs of a leak. No drippings or anything on the ground, AT ALL. The GP2 engine gray had streaks and the condenser and other parts are filled with oil residue though, so needless to say, I'm not going to make it to Bimmerfest this year, AGAIN and I'm pretty sad about that.

I just don't have the time since the project started to get everything done now. Blows...

To add insult to the situation, went into limp mode and threw codes P0100 and P1113B which are associated with my MAF sensor. So I have to see if MAF cleaner will help and to make sure it's the MAF I'll borrow my friend's maf to see if that does the trick also to ensure that that is the culprit of my limp mode issues.

Replacement oil cooler goes on later today so busy busy day today
