wows..that sounds good...not loud at all. I am interested..

btw, build quality look second to none.

So with the remote, you control the opening and closing of the valve?

Yup. System comes with 2 remotes. One for you, the other for your wife

Literally change on the fly. So if a cop is on the side and you spot him before you pass him, and you think you're too loud? Hit auto or off, and you're good to go. So discrete.

You're right. It does sound very very clean. Not to ponder their DP with my Invidia exhaust...

Vince @ GT Auto Concepts shot a few GoPro videos of the MINI while I was in SF, so he said iPE's official MINI video will be up in a week or 2. I'll see what I can do to expedite that.

There's a local MINI gathering for a small group over the weekend, I'm going to try and make it. MINI is filthy from all the bugs on the way up and down and I'm still waiting on the CAE shifter to come in hopefully today or tomorrow.

Alcantara comes in tomorrow, but I can't install that until I install the shifter too because I need to know how much of the center console needs to be cut...

It's a full turbo back system, so I'd check in with Lance or Vince @ GT Auto Concepts to see if they sold their DP separately. Lance and Vince are fantastic and they're also known as DuelL AG North America. So they're my go-to guys for all my MINI Imports on the JDM side of things

Any chance that it didn't pop a CEL with the high flow? I'm guessing that you have a smog test like I do in NY.......

After 150 miles on my trip home from SF to LA, I tripped the CEL. Either an AP or BMS CAN Tool will keep it under bay. I do have to smog but I'll swap to the stock DO when the time comes :-P

Got a lot of inquiry for the iPE exhaust. I'll probably put up a separate review thread soon.

It's in the Akrapovic range. So think $2400+ range. If anyone is serious about it let me know. It's hands down the best I've had now. Akrapovic doesn't sound nearly as full, deep, and intoxicating as this system. Well worth the investment and like I said 3rd times the charm!

Sounds nice but for that kinda money it should be made of gold imo. Nice mods you have though!

True, it's not for everyone, but it's a helluva system that I won't be parting out. This is the last build and it's meant to last. Or at least that's the plan

The IPE system sounds great. Vince had ordered an IPE system for me in hopes that it could be modified to work with the DuelL AG rear bumper, but the way the tips were welded to the muffler prevented it from being changed. I had toe stick with the DuelL AG system. I did modify my system by deleting the resonator. That gave me the tone I was looking for.

Nice. Vince told me about that. He also said he wanted to run that on the shop MINI too but the DuelL rear bumper prevented that. Glad it didn't fit since it allowed me to come in and it off their hands. :-P

I am glad you were able to get it. It is the first one on a MINI R56 in the States and it is a beautiful looking system.

There is a YouTube video by driver name friggo where he was chasing the m5 f10 and Porsche 911 turbo and rs3, he has the CAE shifter...nice but u need to be a ballet to have that...1k...yikes. Maybe that is why he was able to chase them.

ballet or baller? lol. There are a few quiet MINI owners that have a CAE shifter. Not sure who, but they're out there. I could have gone with the Craven SSK, which is a great great ssk, but I wanted to go all out and leave no doubts behind, so it's CAE or nothing.

darn iphone keyboard..pick ballet instead of baller..heheheh

in video below, one of the user ask if that was cae shifter...i think he reply yeah... can't read german. Anyhoot, 8:05 at the ring not too bad consider it doesn't even have any power close to m5, porsche..etc.

One lap behind M5 f10

Chasing behind gt3 and porsche turbo

amazing how that guy can drive. he basically tire them out. In both video above, you can see the porsche and m5 took off like a rocket during straight away...then twisty comes..mini frigo1966 would be right behind their tail.

Sorry if this was posted before..

Yes, CAE shifter. That's also R53, same essential shifter. I know how it looks already so no need to really link me to footage. I opted to not have the anodized black finish either. So mine will be silver/polished. I like the look more than the anodized black =P
