any thoughts on what to do about the lack of cup holders due to the CAE install?
while they're not super necessary they'd be nice. I'm considering modifying the door pockets to fit a cup but haven't measured it/mocked it up yet. I'm still working on a more permanent place for the sport button too

But I don't really get any large drinks and keep it small for the most part, so what I've done is stuff the center cup that's at the end of center console column between the seats with paper and wedge it with my drink. lol
It's a gamble if you go too fast on corners so I normally don't drink much in the MINI anymore.

When I had my Recaros, there was a spot near the door that I could wedge one of my Starbucks coffee cup in and it wouldn't move or spill. It was nice

I don't want to attach anything to center dash just to fit a bottle. I can manage. Just take the Prius or M3 if I need to go somewhere with a drink.

Thank you.
ALSO. On my way to work, I picked up my Challenge Wing plates which I got anodized. The paint work on it before was shoddy, so when the screws were tightened, it ruined the paint.
Screw the paint. I went with sand blasting the finish and anodized black...$20!!! Finding the right people to do the job is always nice when you can go back to them for more work and the pricing they give you is amazing for the quality work performed.

Powdercoating....I haven't gotten anything powder coated but my Volks I have on now were done by Reliable Powder Coating and the finish is fantastic. And the person who sold me these wheels swears by them and I still talk to that guy too, so I'll take his word for it.
Son Tran from Onsite Wheels (http://www.yelp.com/biz/onsite-wheel...e?osq=Son+Tran) is the way to go when it comes to wheel refinishing like curb rashes and such, but he can't fill your wheel or fix a crack, that's not what he does.
Strasse Sport for all BMW/MINI work and Motoring Magic also up on my list when it comes to maintenance on the MINI. Scott at MM is kickass and Ivan @ Strasse is solid.

Well, it is with a bittersweet announcement, that I will no longer be part of the MINI community. I have given up on the MINI and moving onto other projects. A few things will come off and be in the marketplace, but for the most part, it will be gone...
