What tires did you get? G-Force Rivals?

As for your tune, is the tuner building it to be useable through the AP or is he doing his own custom flash?

G-Force Rivals is correct.

Not through the AP. I abandoned that project and going with a different tuner. I've seen their end user dyno graph and it looks sooooo good.

215/45/17 on 17x7.5" Volk SE37K wheels. 225/45/17 was too much, but I think 215 looks and drives much better.

Sounds great, doesn't seem like any drone...the car is looking and sounding badass. Have you had it tuned and if so, who did you use? I am interested in someone local, we are pretty close to each other Chino Hills here!

Thanks! Tuning is under the wraps right now. I should have my tune in before Black Friday and it'll be even better than the AP stg3 I ran last year. Mapping will remove the Cooper S boost cutoff and be very linear for trackability because I hate having boost kick in instantaneously in the middle of a corner.

When I get it installed and then dynoed, then I'll let everyone know

If you ever wanna meet up, I'm always down. You can meet my buddy as well who is running a stg3 AP.

Finally got my tune installed and it is amazing. The power band is very linear and smooth all the way up to redline. No boost cut issues and CEL from the catless downpipe is a plus!!! It's a new animal and now I need to dyno to see where I'm at.

Well, after the Black Friday trackday, I can say I definitely need the NM discharge pipe now. The stock piping keeps coming off when I'm on WOT shifting. Tune is amazing on the track.

So were you running your car at Buttonwillow on Black Friday with VARA? I'm looking at doing the January 11-12 event..Interested in your tune and wonder about its positive attributes on the JCW.

Fantastic shot. A GP is nice with the JCW uprated engine, but an S can hold it's own just fine.

You're local too, you should definitely come check out my MINI then. You'll love the feel of it.

Also, I'm sure that's a similar vendor, but I'm not sure that's a DNA Tuning authorized vendor; I could be wrong though. I'm sure they do something similar with the Powergate 3 unit though.

ABSOLUTELY! Still very intoxicating. Always fun to start it up and hear it roar in the morning.

I just cleaned up the tips earlier this week too! Nanoskin Autoscrub works charms to clean off all the black particles off the tips.

What happened to the SE37's...in bronze, loved those light race rims? Tracked my JCW last weekend at Buttonwillow, hooked, looking for some rims now, thoughts on Team Dynamics and would love to meet up with you at GMR for a run or two..

Well, the SE37K's are 14lbs and the RE-30's are 15lbs. I have a pending deposit on my SE37K's, so they're technically sold.

Nice nice, was it 13CW? That's the best configuration. TD's are okay, but save a little and you can be rewarded with a nicer option.

If you're looking for some Advans, I can hook you up with a set which I have in the garage and just put them away. I've never seen Advan RS' on a MINI, so it'll be pretty damn rare. btw, they're also only 14lbs.

Hit me up, doesn't seem like you're very far from me anyways since I'm in Temple City. I'm not huge on GMR since I leave that speed stuff on the track, but if you wanna grab lunch or coffee or something, I'm always down (pending schedule).

I just wrapped on a project, so it's downtime before the next, which I have a feeling is fast approaching.

CW14 120mph on the straight and pussing out on Riverside turn, had to drop to 90+ or so, had a professional instructor telling me to carry it! just couldn't muster the gumption???never experienced that before...CW13 adds the buss stop, so speeds are a bit less on the back straight..fun as hell, two days and a lot of track time.

Did the advanced driving techniques with VARA, working on my racing license. I have an old Jaguar XKE, 4.2 in the family and I eventually want to race with them. Also thinking about making my Mini into a track only car eg. Roll bar, fire extinguisher, nets etc..
