Ah interesting....you should try 13CW because the truckstop is a tricky corner. Go in late and you hit the dip that's right before the apex so it will throw your weight around and likely spin out, but ride the apex and you'll be rewarded properly with a smooth exit out to hit at least 100. Get a wing! M7 or Challenge!

They were running the CW13 on Friday, a lot of American muscle ripping through that corner, many loosing it or just about to...tricky and deceiving for sure..Adavan RS are very similar to the the TD, I like that look, what color and offset do you have and why haven't you fitted, what are you looking for as of price?

Yeah, Speed District has 13CW on Saturday and I was thinking of going, but decided to speed the day at Mt. High with the fiancee. lol.

Advans are 17x7.5 +35 offset in original Dark Gunmetal finish. Haven't fitted only because well....I love Volks, and couldn't pass up Magnesium Blue!!! Price? Shoot me a pm on price. Retail they're $600 per.

Had a friend drive my DNA Tuned MINI and mind you he's currently running a Cobb AP stg3 and he's a true believer in what DNA has done to my MINI. He was able to test drive both my linear and non-linear maps and both gave him excited sensations.

As he described my non-linear map, "I like it a lot because it doesn't throw all the boost all at once, it's a build up of boost which is smooth all the way up to redline, I really like it a lot."

And the linear mapping? "It's fun as ****. You're waiting for the boost to kick in and it's just not even there! I don't even feel like it's a turbo car anymore, super smooth power deliver."

That's one believer ready to swap out his AP. Any other takes in the area for a test drive?

OK, you have my attention....what will be needed to do a DNA tune since they are located in the UK? Would love to feel your cars power curve, so I can compare it to mine, and potentially do a dyno before and after..

I guarantee you will not be disappointed either direction you go (linear or non-linear).

I personally enjoy the linear feel while my friend really enjoyed the non-linear power delivery. I'm free all week, so if you wanna meet up in the week, don't hesitate to hit me up.

Haven't updated this in a while...

Ignition Projects Plasma Coil Packs are on the way. For those that don't know who they are, they're Okada Projects. Okada is still around, but instead of Okada USA, they decided to do a name change, so it's the same plasma coils at half the price.

Nice. On my list, but price had it moved to in the future... Will price out again. What plugs are you going with? Doing a colder plug too?

Can these Plasma Direct ignition Coil system really help in reducing detonation is Mini Cooper S? The N14's are notoriously known to knock, pre-ignition and have detonation issues. I would love to see an A-B comparison between OEM and Plasma Direct ignition Coil! I'm assuming if there were no unburned gasses after the primary combustion process there would be no pre-ignition because of the lack of unburned fuel.

More efficient combustion process, I'm very interested here!

Ignition Coil Packs are only $400 compared to Okada asking $800. It's the same product!! Well, I had the stock NGK's and those were put in less than 10k miles ago. I'll just swap those out a little later.

Not sure about reducing detonation and I also have water/meth so that alone is already reducing my predetonation anyways.

That's rad about the plasma coils. Wanted the okada's but couldn't justify $800.

My work bonus can't come soon enough. I can't wait to throw some more parts at my own. I want to throw on a akroprovic downpipe and remap the renntech again on a dyno but I have to get rid of these ugly halogen headlights asap.

I love volk wheels but couldn't afford them at the time I purchased my NM wheels but they are fine.

Well now you can justify them! $400 for Ignition Projects Plasma Coils, which are rebranded Okadas.

So next step looks to be these badboys....

As if my current setup wasn't already good enough, I decided it's the best system out there with additional benefits.

From Stoptech:

  • Stiffest aftermarket caliper available gives a consistent firm pedal

  • Fully machined and lightweight for track action

  • Hard anodized finish that is impervious to color change or fading

  • Fully forged and extremely stiff for firmer brake pedal feel

  • Meticulously engineered 2-piece design reduces flex

  • Patented, removable center bridge further resists yaw(flex)

How much of a clearance difference is there between these and the ST40 kit you're running now?

same fit, just that it's forged and anodized finished ST-40's compared to painted caliper systems. Also they're 4lbs lighter or something. since the hats and brackets are also forged.
