Misfire during idle, CEL on
i've had my mini for about 2 weeks now (2nd owner) and it keeps misfiring while idling especially when I first start it up (doesn't matter if it's a hot or cold start) and my CEL kicked on with the following codes,
P0300 Random Misfire Multiple Cylinders
P0301 Misfire Cylinder 1
P0302 Misfire Cylinder 2
P0303 Misfire Cylinder 3
P0304 Misfire Cylinder 4
any help on resolving the issue would be greatly appreciated, I love the car but this has put a damper on my excitement of owning a mini =/
forgot to state it's a 2008 Mini Cooper S

Dude, **** happens. This is the sort of issue that could happen to any car. Don't let it get you down about the cars in generaly. Every car has it's faults, some cars have more problems than others, and sometimes you get a problematic one out of a reliable bunch. I know someon who Lemon-Law'ed an Accord. Honda's are notoriously unreliable, right?.....
I would start by doing as suggested above, carbon cleaning. Are you a savvy DIY wrencher, or would something like that require paying a shop?(Not terribly cheap)
