Got Radar Detector ?

if so... what model? Hardwired? I sold my Z3 Coupe and the buyer gave me an extra $500 for my hardwired V1 . My Mini isn't as fast or VISIBLE as the Coupe was, but I'm still thinking about some protection.

Escort Redline.....been flawless and saved my a$$ on many occasions. Highway mode picks up Ka band at 5+ miles on the freeway.

I have no reason to replace my V1... I use it in the MINI, my supercharged M3, and on my Italian sportbike...

My V1 has been worth. I couldn't count how many times it's save my butt and the people behind me. I've gotten thumbs up before too

My V1 has paid for itself several times over in savings from tickets. I really need to hardwire it.

I like the GPS updatable speed camera/red light camera location alerts along with the
excellent radar performance of my Bel GX-65 (very similar to an Escort 9500ix).

I am running two different detectors a Bel GX65 and a Escort 9500ix blue. Both have kept me protected at various times. My concern is laser which no radar detector can help except to tell you that you have been had. I am upgrading my current laser shifter which is three years old but I have made no firm decision yet.

Another "paid for itself" V1 user. Great product.

You cant go wrong with any of the top end Bel, Escort or V1 products. I have a RX-65 in each car and would go the same or better the next time. Both have paid for themselves a few times over.

Looking for up to date reviews and hard wire suggestions. Did you hard wire it from the power block or splice from the switch cluster above the mirror ?

If I were in the market today, I might consider the Escort Iq. A combo detector and gps. Might be handy for me occasionally driving in Virginia and DC. (where actual detectors are frowned upon)

I wired the V1 to power at the sunroof area.
