has anyone had to replace thier vacuum pump?

I finally got tired of the crappy performance and gas milage so I took off the intake manifold and scubbed all the goo from the intake valves but while I was leaning on the engine I broke off the little plastic thing that bolts on top of the vacuum pump that hooks to a hose that feeds into the brake booster. I went to the local dealer and they said they can only sell it as one piece and refused to let me buy just the piece I needed. The whole thing is 500 bux.... has anyone on here had to swap out thier pump cause all I need is that plastic piece. il give you some money for it I just cant find anyone who will sell it separately.

I know that Way Motor Works has a used one, not sure if it's for your model year though.
