Hello all,

Did some searching but came up empty (I am using droid app so search may be on the lite side).

Need some help. Broke my outlet from my vacuum pump on my 2010 MCS. Looking for somewhere to buy a new one or acquire a used one from a vac pump replacement.

Local parts store came up empty. Searching part numbers online came up empty.

It is the part that comes out of the vac pump and mates with the hose going to the brake booster.

For a pic, check my post in the DDMWorks RIS thread.

Part goes here:

You can only get it from a MINI dealer or you can have someone like DetroitTuned order it for you.

The vacuum pump also supplies vacuum to the vacuum canister deep in the engine bay. That is the canister that directly influences the position of the turbo wastegate. I wouldn't drive the car around until you fix the vacuum pump.

Thanks for the reply!

Yeah, the car is parked and I am epoxying it back together for now. Also changing my setup such that it should not be strained again.

It was fun losing my power brakes at, ummm....somewhere north of 65mph.
Not the first time that has happened, though previously on different cars.

I may try Detroit and pick up some other items while I am at it.

Tried the dealer. Will only sell the whole vac pump for $490. Left a message with Detroit tuned to see if they might have one. Also going to post in the want ads to see if I can buy a used one from a vac pump replacement.
