Where's the Oil Leak?

Background: I had an oil leak and went to a Mechanic to take care of it.

What he did was changing The Valve Cover Gasket and the Vacuum Pump O-Ring.And a few more things (Oil Filter Housing Gasket,Valve Cover Gasket Set
,Oil Pan Gasket,Vacuum Pump O-Ring)

However, after a few weeks I still see some oil leak. (check image) I did clean it all out and it takes around 3 days to pool up on the bottom again.

It seems like it is right underneath the Vaccuum Pump to the right.

Would you recommend to buy a new Vaccuum Pump? and have him swap it out? (He did change the O-ring so that is puzzling to me)

Where else can the leak come from?

Is it residual stuff from changing all the seals? And I think what you're calling the vacuum pump is actually the auxiliary water pump for the turbo.

This is the Base Model so no turbo.

I did clean out the poll of oil on the bottom. It took three days and it was back. The engine block might have some stuff from earlier.

Yea , that is a vacuum pump on the side of the engine.

Check the seal on the vacuum pump again and the valve cover gasket. Some time there are little crack in the valve cover that oil can seep through. Possible he did not seat the o ring or tighten its down all the way. I would get that checked out right away.

If its the oil filter housing it will leak down below right about the exhaust pipe connection on the bottom of the engine. So that might not be it.

I would really clean the oil off in the whole corner. Use mild de-greaser and a cloth. Then you should be able to see the location of the leak better.

Also check your oil level, you don't want to be low on oil.
