Brake indicator in OBC

hi,
The brake indicator(miles remaining), does that take into consideration pads and disc?

Lately i hear the front brakes squeaking a bit first thing in the morning(happens only when its cold < 35 deg), they stop squeaking after i have braked 3-4 times. I was wondering if the pads are close to replacement.

TIA

Pads only. The disc will be inspected during that service. Brakes should squeak fairly consistently when time to replace.

Mine howl like a banshee all the time. Have all of 7000 miles on em. Obc says 36000 and 37000 left (front and back).

Factory pads and rotors.

Really the only way to know for sure whether the pads and rotors need replacing is through visual inspection. The indicator on the OBC is really intended to serve as a prompt for you or your mechanic to check them out.
