Rear side marker is not working, bulb is fine
My driver side rear side marker over the wheel well stopped working. I thought it was the bulb but the bulb is fine. I switched the bulb holder circled in blue from the good side to the bad side and the good side bulb stopped working on the bad side. The bulb holder from the bad side works fine when switched to the good side. So it's not the bulb or the holder in blue.
I also tried to test the connector in red by unplugging the bulb holder and connecting the volt meter to the two pins. On the good side it's showing 11.07 volts when on as shown in the picture, on the bad side it's jumping around showing 203 mv as shown in the third picture.
Any ideas on what the problem is? Is it the connector in red that went bad or something else? How would I replace something like that? Should I strip the wires a bit before the connector to see if I'm getting correct voltage in the wires?

Bringing this back a year and a half later - obviously this hasn't been a high priority issue Anyway, I stripped the wire before the plug and tried it with a test light - there is no power in that wire so the test light didn't light up. Just to be 100% sure, did the same on the other "good" side and the test light lights up as expected. So the problem might be in the wiring somewhere. A picture of where I stripped the black wire is below.
Any ideas on how to troubleshoot further? Is this a replaceable wire and where does it connect to?

Check further up the wire, there must be a break, if you tested it behind the plug.
You can get the plug by itself. That's most of the time the problem ad the terminal plug cracks.

Thanks, yeh I tested the black wire before the plug and there was no power - you can see where I stripped a bit of insulation in the last picture. So I don't think it's the plug. I was just hoping to see if anyone knew where that wire goes so I don't have to disassemble half of the car to get there.

Its goes to the main harness at the rear of the car , follow it behind the wheel well and see if there is an exposed break.
You are welcome.
