Open plastic tube??????

Replaced my thermostat housing this weekend and noticed this tube by the transmission that was open (uncapped). Seems to originate by tranny and heads towards antilock brake block, but just hanging the unconnected. Have an 07 MCS hardtop with auto transmission. Seems strange to have this tube with no connection, but wondered if it may be an air breather tube. Please see pictures and let me know if you recognize it.

Thanks,

Greg
