Rear interior hatch panel removal help

I need to access my rear window washer motor to see why it is not spaying correctly. I have removed the 2 torx screws from the inside of the boot hatch, but it seems to still attached some how. Any ideas on how to remove this panel?

Just slowly pry it off. It's just connected by plastic heads.

I know that you have an R56 but I guess it should be similar to the R53, on an R53 you take the torx out I know that there are more that 2 so see if you missed some and then the panel should be held by plastic clips pop them out with a trim/panel tool or a flathead screwdriver, just don't brake them

Yea, just pry it off slowly , it has those plastic snap in clip pieces that can break, so just be careful.

We have trim tool kits if you need one. They are great for slim areas and are plastic so they wont damage like metal inside your MINI.

Thanks for the quick responses. I figure thats what it was, but after seeing the write-ups for the driver and passenger doors removal processes I just want to make sure.

Welcome. When you re-install make sure all the clips on the panel side are lined up outside and sightly in the hole then press the panel into place, like the door panels. If they come off center it sometimes break the yellow and white clips then the rear panel rattle, which can be pain.
