Curious about the spring configuration/rates on the XTA coilovers. Linear or progressive? Rates?

Front: Progressive Rear: 230

That's the only info ST has provided to me. If you want a break down on the Progressive rate you may need to call their tech department.

Anyone try the bilstein b12 Pro kit? $850 for a matched spring/shock set. If you dont plan on changing your ride height all the time then budget coilovers really dont offer any advantages over a shock/spring combo.

Well, typically coilovers, even budget ones, can go significantly lower than any of the springs on the market.

But a 1" to 2" drop as OP stated he wants is doable on either coilovers or springs/shock combo. Anything lower and you have to get coilovers or ghetto springs.

On a $1000 budget the only advantage coilovers have is variable ride height, if you are a set and forget type then id say go for springs/shocks. Imo having the damping adjusatbility of koni yellows and springs is much better than having ride height as the sole adjustment.

I found what I'm looking for but they are not offering coil overs for mini yet.
Check the link and scroll down to Street Zero option... Their idea is by far the best instead if adjusting( compressing or expending) your spring, their adjustment happens at the shock body level. As far as I can see their prices are on the expensive side...

The Megan coilovers adjust that way as well.

I've had Cusco coilovers on a couple cars and they are very nice, but typically come with a VERY harsh ride.

I ordered a set of KW V2's and Vorschlag camber plates, from Way on 2/19. I received neither as of 4/14. I'm planning a two week road trip, at the beginning of May. at the end of this week, I'll be forced to cancel my order, and go a different direction. 2 months is more than enough time to deliver! Hopefully they'll ship this week….

Have you called Way?. He gets busy and may just need to be reminded. Also if ordered thru way and shipped direct, then Vorshlag should know about your order. No hurt to call and ask, the people at Vorshlag are very helpful. I've purchased alot from Way, but this time used someone else. Ordered on a Tuesday, dropped shipped my Ohlins to me. Received on that Thursday and received my camber plates on Friday. I have everything installed and just fine tuning my setup. Running -2 degrees camber all around. Also with the Ohlins, I thought they wouldn't go to low. But I was wrong, I need to raise the rears a few mm's.

It's not low. Reading the instructions from Ohlins is inaccurate. They quote how high or low you can go. My NM springs were about 1.25 inch drop and Ohlins say they can only go 1.2 inch. But that is not true. I can go alot lower then I have it setup, but it looks as low as the NM springs and even lower in the rear. I think I'll raise the rear 3mm and drop the front about 6mm and give that a try.

Thanks for the pix. Looking good! I can live with that height.

I've talked to Way a couple of times. Between KW and US Customs, He seems to be having a difficult time receiving stock. He also explained that Vorschlag, is having production issues and the camber plates are backed ordered. Right now, I seriously considering canceling my order and ordering a set of Ohlins. Maybe I can someone who has a set of Vorschlag's in stock…. So it goes. I'm running out of time….

I'm pretty sure Vorshlag's drop ship from Vorshlag. The Ohlins have a square shoulder that makes them different then others. So it's a custom order with Vorshlag. I don't see someone having them in stock. What you can do, if you are doing a self install. Is use your stock hats until the Vorshlag's become available. It would be no big deal. But if paying for install, then that's another story.

Just a heads up on the Vorshlag plates. Way has called us (Vorshlag) about the hold up and the MINI plates had been held up by a mixup with our machinist. We got the MINI parts back in stock, but did not anticipate the number of backordered plates we had and while filling backorders, ran out of our custom spec'd spherical bearings. We have a regular monthly shipment that comes in, and an additional amount that are en route. We expect to be shipping plates again this Friday. Sorry about the delay.
