Does a stock R56 MCS come with a lower skid plate cover? Lots of the maintenance manuals refer to one but my car does not have one.

 

They come with a stock side splash guard that some times referred to as a skid plate. There is now the GP2 Belly Pant Kit which is sometimes referred to as skid plate, even though its most for aerodynamics and to keep things clean.

It comes right off with speed screws and found on the passenger side.

You also take it out to install the our JCW GP2 Belly pan kit w/ additional install hardware.
