Cracked Turbo intake hose

Yesterday I saw that my intake hose is cracked near the turbo inlet. 2008 MCSa with factory air intake.

#10 in the above picture. The factory one is $126 for the replacement, and a forge one is $150. The problem is that the forge one has the pcv closer to the MAF, and I'm running an OCC. I was wondering if anyone else has hooked up an OCC with the forge inlet hose? Please don't lecture me about the OCC, I'm gonna keep it.

Additionally, the forge website indicates that the R60 intake tube has the PCV location closer to the turbo, but I don't know if the N18 setup would bolt on to my N14 turbo and MAF.

I see that Alta has a metal inlet tube, but I'm struggling spending an extra $100 over the forge for something that will likely not make a performance improvement on a DD.

Thanks for any tips, and thanks to ECS for clarifying things with the PM's that I sent. Now I'm just fishing for opinions....

Have fun,
Mike

I have the forge piece, I had the same thing happen you did and thought I'd get a better piece than the factory part. Can't comment on how easy it would be to hook up your catch can but with a little ingenuity you could get it to work.

I would grab Alta's piece if you are struggling with cracking intake pipe issues:

Aluminum core should last.
Shop around, and you should be able to find it for -15% from list.

Mike I have one of those tubes under my desk. If you want it, just pay for the shipping and I'll send it your way
