You need to find out if the timing chain assembly has been replaced before, thermostat housing and at least a compression test and or leakdown test perform to have an idea of how well the engine was treated. If the seller seems unwilling to do so walk away! 2007 Mini Coopers S models were the start of a lot of problems still hurting Mini USA. These engines burn a lot of oil, be aware.

 

Price is high for a '07.

 

That's how much the seller wants, what they actually get is another story entirely.

 

Overpriced. I would offer him $8500.
