Hit a curb... Again

So I hit a curb again. Fortunately this time was a less than 10mph.

I went under and checked everything and it all seems okay other then the LCA bushings. But there are a bunch of unsettling things, I cant seem to trace.

1. The car steering feels incredible twerky, like theres to much air in the tires.

2 It also feels like the power is gone, No cel's or anything, The only place I could see that impacted the car was a few scrapes on the oil pan. So Im assuming the all the rubber mounts are okay.

At this point i'm not sure if this in my head or not. Any ideas on what else to check for.

Try practicing turning around a few tall posts to get a true feel of how tightly your car turns. Minis have such a shorter wheel base than other cars, it throws some off on how fast the car will turn and therefore run over curbs to the right.

Sounds like the alignment is off...the reason for the funny handling after the curb shot...
Just have too look for bent stuff...the alignment is out of wack for a reason...

That would explain the steering, perhaps if it Is out of wack the power isn't getting to the wheels and causing it to lag

If the alignment is so far out of whack then the power could feel reduced due to the fact that the wheels are trying to go in two different directions. For example if one wheel is severely toed-out.

You really need to stop hitting curbs it not good for the car.

That's what I'm hoping for,

Update, nothing seems bent, however the strut mounts seems to have ripped a bigger hole. I'm resting the computer and hopeful the power issues are related to that

In either case...
Get the car on a lift...
Get it looked at asap...
Best case...your tires are just gonna wear out in a few miles...think a few thousand or less!!
Worst case...a tie-rod is bent, and it fails....and you loose control of the car, cross the centerlane and hit a bus load of handicapped homeless children going to visit SANTA head on and make the nightly news, and live the rest of you life as a parapleagic after spending months in rehabilitation (was more interesting to write than saying you died like a bug getting squished).

I'd bet a buck or two you bent some front end parts. That sure will make your alignment wonky at best. Watch out for those buses.
